    Doggie Dates

    Every Saturday from 12-4pm, you can sign up to take a shelter dog on a date away from the shelter. Popular dates includes a walk on campus, visiting the lake or getting an ice cream cone! What you do is totally up to you. Just make sure your date is back at the shelter by 4pm for evening chores.

    Free Spay & Neuter Events

    As funding is available, the New Nodaway Humane Society offers a limited number of FREE Spay & Neuter vouchers. We try to offer these vouchers several times a year.

    In July of 2021 we held a larger event to offer these vouchers along side a low cost vaccine clinic at Franklin Park. We look forward to providing this service to the public in the future.

    Dog Days at the Pool

    For the past several years we have partnered with the Maryville Aquatic Center for our Dog Days at the Pool event. Before they empty the pool for winter the Aquatic Center lets us and community supporters bring our four legged friends in for a swim. Proceeds benefit the shelter. In 2018 this event raised over $1,000 and in 2019 this event raised $1,158.

Event Request Form

Our downloadable Event Request Form needs to be completed and returned or emailed to the shelter if you or your organization wishes to do any of the following:

  • Planning an activity such as a fundraiser, social or educational program and wish to have some form of support from either our board, shelter members, staff or volunteers.

  • Interested in having a shelter animal attend your event.

  • Raising funds for or representing us.
